We now have a new workflow in place. It
is based on Print Ready PDF, preferably you should send
your files to us in this format. We will continue to accept
a variety of file formats (we will also accept files as
flattened tif (Tiff) or jpg (Jpeg)*, but these will incure
a conversion charge of £15 + VAT per file. The PDF
should be prepared at press quality.
*The disadvantage of sending files in this format is
that all text and graphics will be Bitmap rather than
Vector quality. If the file is High Resolution (300 dpi
size for size) then in our experience the results are
generally acceptable
Please CLICK ABOVE and download the trial PDF driver.
Please choose the 'deskPDF Standard (Windows 7Mb).exe'
file.
Once downloaded, please run the program and follow
the instructions to install the driver.
When you have opened your file in your artwork program,
go to File, and then Print.
In the drop down menu, there should be a driver called
'deskPDF'. Please highlight this, and then click on
'Properties'.
In Properties, click on the 'Advanced' tab. Please
ensure that your paper size is correct, and change the
'Print Quality' settings from '300dpi' to '600dpi'.
Please then check the rest of your print setting are
correct, as you would do as normal.
Then click 'Print'. This will bring up a box, which
will allow you to save your PDF.
Please ensure when your PDF has been created, that
it has 3mm bleed and crop marks.
